Arguably the clubs greatest achievement, the 2-1 victory over Homeguard Ely in 1984 in the "Champions League" of parks football. At the now demolished Wiggins Teape ground in front of a massive crowd , Street emerged triumphant with a brilliant 2-1 victory. Ray Irwin put the crack Ely team in front with a rocket from all of 25 yards past the despairing dive of  Les Southard but the quiet man of the club David "Bimbo" Bryant  rose to the occassion and scored two brilliantly taken goals with a header and volley to secure the biggest honour in the club's history at that time. A memorable evening was capped off with wild celebration at the former Street HQ , The Canadian

S.W.F.A. Amateur Cup Winners 91/92

The second of our cup wins came 8 seasons on from the first with Joey , Lordy, Squeby, and Frankie appearing in both triumphs. This was a dour game  and apart from the goal the great defensive display from Neil Lord always springs to mind. That season the semi final  was the best Street many had seen for years. Our opponents Grange Albion were 2-0 in front at a capacity Splott Park with news filtering through (dont ask how as there were no mobiles then) that the Quins were leading at their semi-final, so cries of an all Grangetown final could be heard around the ground. The late great Albion stalwart Mac Purchase actually left the game and back at The Albions club announced that it was going to be an all Grangetown final.

A comeback ensued which would have made Lazurus green with envy as the Street turned it all around to run out 4-2 winners with Mark Jones replacing John Jones in the sticks after he was red carded. Anyway back to the final and anyone present that day will have the abiding first minute memory of  Squeby's rapidly receding bonce flicking on a cross over the despairing Barry Athletic keeper in front of the Canton Stand to win the game 1-0 on the pitch of his boyhood idols!
