THE BOYS WILL BE IN ACTION AT RUMNEY RUGBY CLUB (RIVERSIDE PARK) ON SATURDAY AT 10.15am

training will be on Wednesday 9th December at Eastern (5.30)

The boys will be at Splott Park on Saturday (7th Nov) and players are required to be at the ground for 10.15.

The opponents will be St Albans , Marshfield and Dragons FC

GAME CANCELLED

The under 11's games at Fairwater has been cancelled this weekend (31 October)

The under 11's fought the elements at Tongwynlais and firstly beat Avenue Hotspur 4-2 courtesy of a Thomas Lloyd hat trick and another from the outstanding Callum Gray. In the other game the boys played valiantly against a strong Whitchurch outfit but went down to a goal in each half.  The squad was : Callum Gavin, Carl Broadman, Praise Tsushuma, Tom Lloyd, Callum Evans, Simeon Joseph, Corey Stephens and Ellis.... Well done boys you did the club proud !

There won't be any under 11 training during half term week and next week the boys play at Fairwater Primary School (10.15)

An excellent turn out on a beautiful morning at Llandaff Fields saw Street take on Ty Celyn (lost 3-1 despite having most of the chances and going into the lead through Tomos Roberts)

Also we went down to Heath Park 2-1 but in the final game the boys played out of their skins to beat the fancied Urdd United 1-0 courtesy of a great goal from Callum Gray who played outstanding in each game. Well done boys and parents for giving it 100%

MINI NEWS

The under 11 team travel to Fairwater Primary School on Saturday when they take on Fairwater , Canton Rangers and Thornhill Reds. Kick off is 10.30am and parents are asked to be at Splott Park for 9.45 to follow the convoy or contact Keith or Alun to let them know if you are going straight to the ground.

Paul Stephens (Corey's dad) will assist Alun , Keith and Kingsley with coaching and match day activities to help fill the void of work commitments and ensure we have sufficent cover on match days and training.Thanks Paul !!

Traning next week will be on Thursday 1st October at 6.30 (Eastern Leisure indoor).

The under 11's are away at Tongwynlais on Saturday morning (Ironbridge Road CF15 7NJ) where we play against AFC Whitchurch , Ely Rangers and Thornhill Reds

The ground is situated in Tongwynlais village with Ironbridge Road a sharp turn on the left as you enter through the main street.To gain access to the ground you'll need to go through Ironbridge Road and under the overhead bridge and park outside the ground.

Keith and Alun will be at Splott Park for 9.45 in order for parents and players to meet and follow them to the ground. If you are going straight to the ground can you please text or ring one of them so you can then be accounted for.

Kick off is 10.30 and for those of you with SAT-NAV ..... the post code of Ironbridge Road CF15 7NJ

Parents and players are invited to The Fleurs on Sunday afternoon , 20th September when the boys will recieve their gongs for last season.

TRAINING

Training on Thursday 24th September is at the slightly different time of 5.30pm (Eastern Leisure Centre)

The September fixyures have just been released and dissapointingly the under 11's are one of the teams not allocated this Saturday (12th)

The 19th September see's the team travel to Tongwynlais and the 26th to Fairwater Primary School

Training this week (10th Sept) will be at Eastern Leisure Centre 6.15pm to 7.30

The boys have been entered the Whichurch Festival which takes place on Sunday 30th August.

Can the players please be at Egwlys Playing Field for 10.45 start. The day should be wrapped up by 2,30 latest providing on progression.

The pitch is located in Whitchurch Village alongside the shoppers car park (behind the shops on Plogh Pub side)

Players will have medals for participation and there won't be any subs required as the club are paying the entry fee.

DONT FORGET SHIN PADS and a drink !

The first set of under 11 fixtures will kick off on 12th September (to be advised where when released) and the boys will rtecieve their trophies for season 08/09 afterwards at Street's HQ.

NEXT TRAINING IS THURSDAY AT EASTERN LEISURE - THIS TIME AT  6.15 - 7.30.

FRIENDLY ON THURSDAY

The boys will play a friendly this Thursday (23/7/09) at Butetown , kick-off  5.45pm , so parents are asked to be at Splott Park for 5.15 in readiness for the short trip to Hamadryad Park

Under 11's Grab Win

The under 11's came away from Butetown on Thursday evening with a fantastic but hard fought 1-0 victory courtesy of Callum Evans pile-driver.

The squad was : ...Liam Hooper , Tom Lloyd , Cole Brooks , Leon Chambers , Tom Roberts , Nathan Jones , Simeon Joseph , Callum Gray , Rhodri Hewings , Callum Gavin , Callum Evans , Corey Stephens , Joe Howe.

Another game against the same opposition will be played on Thursday July 2nd (6pm) at Hamadryad Park , Docks.

Training throughout the summer is every Thursday at Splott Park at 5pm
