Gary Proctor - Manager

The gaffer was Street's successful youth team manager way back in the early 90's before stepping up to control the first team. Since then he's become well known aroound the Welsh footballing circuit after being manager of Welsh Premier outfits Llanelli AFC and Rhayader Town. This followed a spell at Bridgend Town and last season took on the unenviable and more or less impossible task of trying to rejuvenate Cwmbran Town with zero funds and no boardroom support. Gary has brought in his Street-blooded son Jason to assist him and the pair are sticklers for fine detail and a professional approach which is exactly what the club needed. Gary can be likened to Prince Charles - he never carries any of his considerable wealth in his pockets.

PAUL MACE

Position - RIGHT BACK

Age - 30

Otherwise known as Tinead young Macey joined the club last season from Llanrumney along with brother Stephen and Gary Fish. An ever present last year who has switched from his favoured central midfield role to right back this season. However following a starring role in midfield at the Joes in our last midweek game he will be hoping for a management rethink. Has already equalled last years goal tally and will be hoping to add more. Bricklayer Paul works alongside Street legend Basil who talked Paul into joining last year, again Llanrumney's loss is our gain.

TONY BORG

Position - Striker

Age -23

In his second stint with the club following his 20+ goalscoring season 3 years ago. Continuing on with the same form this term Tony has been our in form striker with his great Mark Hughes style of holding up the ball. A bit like Bread's Joey Boswell always got plenty of cash on him but no-one quite sure how. A quieter member of the squad whose office address is William Hill Tremorfa.

GARETH PETERS

Position : Goalkeeper

Age - 27

"Stretch" is widely known as one of the finest keepers in the region and has been a major component in Street's league and cup successes over the years. His departure last season dealt the club a major blow and was part the reason why we struggled. It's great to have him back at his home club and the former Cardiff City youth player is looking hungry for more success this term. He's now amassed over 300 first team appearances and god knows how many points he's saved us in the process. It's a big season for the even bigger stopper with the arrival of the highly experienced Mark Poole contesting for the number one jersey.

DAVID HUTCHEON

Position - Sweeper

Age : 26

"Hutch" is Mr Nice Guy and not a bad word will be said about this cultured player that's another product of Street's junior teams. His presence was badly missed last term when he opted to experience life in the Welsh Laegue with Cwmbran Town but he has inevitably returned to his roots where he has won player of the year in the past. Quite simply - Hutch is a fantastic defender who will never let the team down. It's brilliant to have him back especially as he has been courted by alot of other clubs.A big game player who will die for the Street cause if need be.

DAVID BROOKS

Position - anywhere

Age - 20

David returned to the club at the end of last season from Dinas Powys whose departing manager Mark Jones was keen to take him along to Premier level with Port Talbot. A few missed training sessions later and David was back with us. A tremendous talent who can kill off any game on his day. Manager Gary Proctor's favourite to the amusement of the rest of the team and is top scorer to date thanks to his improvement from the penalty spot following his pathetic attempt at Llanharry in pre season. Not the brightest spanner in the toolbox who once told the server in Dominos to slice his pizza into four slices as he wouldn't manage eight. Following in strong Street family tradition with dad Tony, brother and former third team member Michael and Uncle Geraint where he gets all his skill tips from all having played for the club.

DAVID MWASIGALLAH

Position : left back

Age : 28

"Mazzy" is one of the few players to cross the park from neighbours Splott Albion and make his mark at the club. That big step up is usually too steep for those who've tried but not the ambitious and genuine Mazzy. He also has a wealth of Welsh League experience amid his travels but has settled well in the red & white stripes and gives 101% during games and on the training ground. Mazzy simply loves his football and has adopted a "can do" attitude by playing out of his natural position for the team. His hobbies include talking and talking even more - sometimes talking himself into trouble. A popular figure amongst his team mates, Mazzy has a heart of gold but the memory of a peanut when it comes to times and fixtures. During the past two seasons he sometimes proved controversial but this is where his heart ruled his head. A proper football man through and through. Eleven Mazzys would be a noisy team but also be a team full of heart and commitment. Herman's favourite player full stop.

MARCUS JONES

Position - Striker

Age - 17

In a two horse race with Speedy Gonzalez Marcus would be the bookies favourite. Electric pace and a natural finisher can go as far as he wants in the game. Progressed to Senior League level last year when just turned 16 and was a major plus point in a poor season for the club. Penydarren came to Splott Park last season still in with a chance of catching Fairwater for the title but there pre match confidence hadn't considered our star youngster who ran them ragged all game scoring one and making two in a man of the match performance that will live long in the memory. Unstoppable on his day and has started this season in the same form.

TYRONE McDAVIES

Position - Defender

Age - 17

Graduated from our former youth team Tyrone made his debut in our first team at the tender age of 16 last season but was soon snapped up by Cwmbran in the Welsh League. Has played full back and centre half this year but probably had his best game in the middle away to the Joes at the start of the season. Tyrone can be as good as he wants to be and has all the attributes to go far in the game as he matures but hopefully doesn't get any taller. As daft as a brush to say the least but a heart of gold (sounds a bit like his old man !)

JOHN HARRIS

Position - Centre Half

Age - 37

Chopper has been at the Street for ten years plus now ever since he left his West Walian farmhouse for the bright city lights. Great servant for the club who turns up each season promising to be his last but he keeps going and his consistancy could see him carry on at the back well into his forties. Facts about Chopper - has seven sisters and enough cash to rival Man City's owners, recently had to sack one of his butlers after he put diesel in Choppers unleaded yacht. Recently retired from property development now sits back and watches his empire from his luxury abode in Penarth. Has made good friends with Austin Healey recently after the pair met at the "rugs r us" studios where rumour has it Healey recieved some dancing tips which helped him win Strictly.

MARVIN BRIDGEMAN

Position - Striker

Age - 27

Joined the club last season from Caerau in the Welsh League but was plagued by a knee injury which held him back. Highlight was scoring a hatrick away at Penydarren where goals are hard to come by and we will hopefully see the best of Marv this year. Has started the season with a bang including a scorcher at St Josephs. Dad Chrissy used to wear the stripes back in the eighties and was a factor in Marvin picking a new club when he moved house from Ely (lucky him) after becoming fed up with the police helicopters circling the area each night.

CRAIG DALE

Position - hmmm contentious

Age - 26

Captain Fantastic Craig is going for his twelth consecutive player of the year title for the club (seems like). Has red & white striped blood flowing through him and despite many attempts by other clubs to prise him away at a higher level has resisted all approaches to remain with his beloved club. Prefers centre midfield but so talented at sweeper he often reluctantly ends up there, as long as the team prevail he would play anywhere though. Proudest moment was lifting the Amateur Cup for the club two seasons ago and wore a smile as wide as Chopper's hair parting on that evening.

GARY FISH

Position - Midfield

Age - 38

Gary joined the club last season from Llanrumney and was top scorer for the club. An ever present (when not suspended) and a great penalty taker. The joker in the dressing room whose great for team spirit and displayed great loyalty last year completing the season when we were struggling in mid table. Fanatical Man U fan that likes to model his style on personal hero Michael Carrick and makes regular visits to Old Trafford when not not playing himself. Has twice won Senior League player of the year and came to the Street to win things, hopefully we can achieve something this season. A great engine with still a few seasons left at this level Llanrumney's loss is our gain. Also an awesome baseball player thats won many Welsh caps over the years.

ROBERT FOWLER

Position - Attack

Age - 27

Bilko as he's affectionately known from the Fowler dynasty at our club has done the rounds for the last few seasons with too many clubs to name but safe to say his tracksuit collection would rival young squibby. Now back where he belongs the striker or winger has searing pace and an eye for goal. Must be difficult to live in the footballing shadow of a younger sibling (see Lurcio for details) as brother Paul now a superstar but Bilko a genuine performer in his own right and its great to have him back on board. Does a bit of DJing on the weekends and will be appearing on the decks soon at HQ.
